Arsenal and Lazio target Wesley insists that he will not quit Club Brugge in this month's transfer window.

The 22-year-old striker has been on the radar of several clubs in Europe and has been linked with a move away in the winter window.

He has netted ten goals in all competitions this season, including two in the Champions League, and has made his way onto the shortlists of a number of sides.

Arsenal have been linked with having an interest in Wesley and Lazio are reportedly working towards agreeing on a deal to sign him in the next summer transfer window.

A January move has been mooted but the player has clarified his position and stressed that he is not leaving Club Brugge until the end of the season.

“I spoke to my entourage”, the striker was quoted as saying by Italian outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

“And we have decided to stay at Brugge until the end of the season.”

Lazio are eyeing a deal worth €20m for a player who has a contract until 2023 with Club Brugge.

Arsenal may have been unable to sign Wesley this month in any regard, as the Gunners are shopping for loan additions.
