West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has urged his team to keep the winning momentum going against the Hammers' upcoming opponents Bournemouth.

The Hammers beat top four hopefuls Arsenal in their last Premier League game, and have had a good run in recent months.

Pellegrini’s side have lacked consistency at times, though, and it showed in their defeats to Watford and Burnley of late.

West Ham climbed up to ninth in the league table after their win against Arsenal, and it is the highest position they have occupied so far this season.

Pellegrini has urged the players to improve their mentality and not think about taking the foot off the gas after a good win against a top team like Arsenal, and focus on their next game against Bournemouth.

“Of course when you have a good win against a big team like Arsenal, maybe the players will think that is enough to win the next game”, Pellegrini told a press conference ahead of the Hammers' clash against Bournemouth.

“It is a mentality that we still have to improve. It is not an easy game.

“Bournemouth have very good players, have worked with the same manager for a lot of years and to beat them we need to have a very good game."

West Ham could climb up to seventh in the league table should they beat the Cherries and results elsewhere go their way.
