Leeds United star Luke Ayling believes that the situation at the club is different this season compared to previous years, as the Whites hope to return to the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival in the summer has seen Leeds put their best foot forward so far this season as the Yorkshire best outfit are currently at the summit of the Championship table.

Leeds have been the pace-setters for a large part of the season, and have topped the table on 17 matchdays so far.

The Whites currently have a four-point lead at the top of the table, and Ayling believes it is different this year compared to previous years, where the side slipped towards the business end.

“But the boys have for one or the other reason fallen down the league.

“I just feel like it’s a different place this year and the boys just keep working hard every day in training, working well with the staff and hopefully things will continue [to fall in place]."

Leeds will take on Stoke City come Saturday and will hope to pick up their second win of the year and strengthen their grip at the top of the table.
