West Ham United full-back Ryan Fredericks has insisted he stood up to the test against Liverpool's Sadio Mane and Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha in recent weeks, and claims he got the better of the battle.

Fredericks, who joined the Hammers from Fulham last summer, has been restricted to being a bit-part player in the Premier League after struggling to settle down at the London Stadium due to injuries.

However, the 26-year-old has started consecutive games for the first time since September in recent weeks, during West Ham’s league games against Liverpool and Crystal Palace.

And Fredericks feels he gave a good account of himself against two of the division’s proficient wide players in Mane and Zaha.

The Englishman insisted that he stood up to the test and even went on to claim he got the better of the battle against his counter-parts.

“It doesn’t get much harder than what I’ve faced this last week”, Fredericks told the club’s official website.
