Intermediaries are working to find out if clubs are interested in signing Mesut Ozil from Arsenal, with the Gunners tipped to be open to offers, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Ozil completed a big money move to Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, but he has flattered to deceive during his time at the Emirates, with the Gunners failing to land a blow in the title race and now having been pushed out of the top four.

The German has faced accusations of a lack of hunger, amid claims he is a flat track bully, with this term new Arsenal boss Unai Emery regularly preferring other options.

Now it has emerged that Ozil is being touted around the transfer market by intermediaries, though it is not claimed they are working for Arsenal.

The work in the market also includes finding clubs who may be willing to accept Ozil as part of a swap deal in the summer.

Arsenal are expected to listen to offers for the 30-year-old, but his wages of £350,000 a week could prove a stumbling block when it comes to moving him out of north London.

It is suggested that Arsenal's budget for summer transfers could be as little as £50m if they do not finish in the top four.

Offloading Ozil could help to create financial breathing space for the club, but it is unclear who might come forward to take the German off Arsenal's hands.
