Lille have slapped an asking price on Manchester City and Everton target Rafael Leao ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the summer.

Leao, who joined Lille from Sporting Lisbon in Portugal on a free transfer last summer, has been one of the standout performers for the club during their excellent season under Christophe Galtier.

The 19-year-old has scored eight goals and registered two assists from 20 appearances in Ligue 1 this term and has popped up on the radar of Manchester City and Everton.

As such, Lille have now set an asking price of more than €40m for the winger, according to French outlet Buzzsport.fr.

The highly-rated Portuguese winger could be one of several players to find the door at Lille in the summer after their impressive performances in France this term.

However, Lille are under no inclination to cash in on Leao, unless his potential suitors are willing to meet the hefty demands slapped on the winger by the club.

Despite their interest in Leao, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City or Everton are keen on playing ball with Lille by matching their asking price for the player.

Leao, who has a contract that runs until the summer of 2023 at the Stade Pierre Mauroy, has prominently featured across various age groups for Portugal.
