Inter have opened talks with Lille to discuss the possibility of signing Arsenal linked winger Nicolas Pepe in the summer.

The 23-year-old attacker’s form this season has led to interest from some of the big wigs of European football and he has been tipped to leave Lille at the end of the season if a substantial offer arrives.

German champions Bayern Munich have been interested in taking him to Bavaria and he has long been linked with interest from Arsenal.

Pepe has also been attracting interest from Serie A too, and Inter are claimed to be the club who are very much keen to get their hands on the Ivorian in the summer.

And according to French magazine Le 10 Sport, the Serie A giants have moved forward with an attempt to sign Pepe and have opened discussions with Lille over a possible transfer.

Inter are aware that there will be serious competition for his signature and have moved in early to register their interest and probe Lille to get a deal over the line.

Bayern Munich have long been considered the favourites to sign Pepe, but Inter have caught up with the German champions and are now serious contenders for him.

It remains to be seen how Arsenal respond to the entry of the Italians into the race.

Pepe has scored 19 goals and provided 12 assists for his team-mates in 34 appearances in all competitions this season.
