Lazio centre-back Luiz Felipe has emerged as a possible target for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the summer transfer window.

Toby Alderweireld is expected to leave Tottenham in the summer and the club are looking to bring in a replacement for the Belgium international.

Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen has long been identified as Tottenham’s priority defensive target and the club have put in work to make sure they sign the Dane in the coming months.

Spurs have already held talks with Sampdoria and are tipped to move for him if Alderweireld goes.

But the north London club also have eyes on other players and, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Lazio’s Felipe is a centre-back the club are closely following at the moment.

Lazio signed the Brazilian in 2016 and following a loan spell at Salernitana, he has been a key player at the Stadio Olimpico over the last two seasons.

Tottenham have identified him as a possible target if they fail to land Andersen this summer.

The Brazilian has a contract until 2022 with Lazio.
