Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts says Spurs winning the Champions League and Arsenal finishing sixth in the Premier League is more realistic than the Gunners winning the Europa League this term.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men hold a slender 1-0 lead over Manchester City ahead of their trip to face the Premier League champions at the Etihad in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Spurs, who are eyeing securing another year of Champions League football, will have to face stern pressure from the other top four aspirants, including Arsenal, between now and the end of the season.

The Gunners will have to either win the Europa League or finish in one of the two remaining Champions League qualification berths to earn a ticket back to the elite competition.

However, Roberts says Spurs winning the Champions League this year and Arsenal finishing sixth in the league is more realistic than the Gunners lifting the Europa League.

The Spurs legend also backed Manchester City to complete the domestic treble and backed Napoli to lift the Europa League at the end of the season.

“I would like to see Man City win the Premier League, Napoli [win the] Europa League, Man City [again for the] FA Cup”, Roberts wrote on Twitter.

“Tottenham [winning the] Champions League and Arsenal to finish sixth, that’s more realistic [than Arsenal winning the Europa League].”

Arsenal have a 2-0 lead over Napoli in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, ahead of their second leg clash in Naples on Thursday.
