Tottenham Hotspur could offer Real Betis an instant profit on Giovani Lo Celso in the summer, following the midfielder's move to Real Betis from Paris Saint-Germain.

Lo Celso, who joined Betis on a season-long deal last summer, is the leading goalscorer for the club, with 15 goals in all competitions so far this season.

As such, Los Verdiblancos exercised their option to make the temporary deal a permanent one by triggering a clause in Lo Celso’s deal earlier this week, paying PSG €22m.

However, according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Lo Celso could be on the move again in the summer with Spurs keen on a potential swoop for the player.

The 23-year-old, who failed to force his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans last summer, has popped up on Spurs’ radar as they aim to strengthen their squad after moving into a new stadium.

And if Spurs are able to snare him away from Seville in the summer, PSG will subsequently bag more money due to the 20 per cent sell-on clause attached to the deal that allowed him to join Betis.

Lo Celso, who joined PSG from his hometown club Rosario in Argentina in 2016, has earned 12 caps at senior level for his country.

The Argentine midfielder is now under contract at the Benito Villamarin Stadium until the summer of 2023.
