Inter have enquired about the possibility of signing Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur linked midfielder Donny van de Beek this summer.

The Dutchman has been pivotal in Ajax’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League semi-finals and scored against Tottenham on Wednesday night in north London.

The 22-year-old midfielder’s performances this season have piqued the interest of several clubs in Europe, including Arsenal and Tottenham, who have been linked with him.

Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on signing him and are said to be preparing an offer of around €50m to test Ajax’s resolve to keep the Dutchman at the club.

And according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, Serie A giants Inter have inserted themselves into the transfer saga involving Van de Beek ahead of the end of the season.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was in London to watch Ajax take on Tottenham earlier in the week.

And during his visit, he watched Van de Beek in action and set the wheels in motion for a transfer by enquiring the feasibility of signing him this summer.
