Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang believes he has a good understanding with partner Alexandre Lacazette.

Unai Emery’s men came from behind to seal an important 3-1 win over Valencia in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final clash at the Emirates on Thursday.

The Gunners conceded as early as the 11th minute through Mouctar Diakhaby, but restored parity just seven minutes later, when Lacazette scored the equaliser after some neat link-up play with Aubameyang.

Arsenal went from strength to strength and took the lead in the 25th minute courtesy of Lacazette again, before Aubameyang completed the rout in second half stoppage time.

And following their impressive comeback win over Valencia, Aubameyang has reflected on his relationship with Lacazette that helped secure the vital win on Thursday night.

The Gabon international referred to it as chemistry that works well on the pitch and believes Lacazette will have another goal in him during the return leg, after being unfortunate to have not bagged a hat-trick in the first keg.

"We often try to find each other [on the pitch]”, Aubameyang told French radio station RMC Sport after the win over Valencia.

“We get along well, it's chemistry that works well.

“He sought a third goal. He did not find it, unfortunately.

“[I’m] hoping he kept one for the second leg.”

Aubameyang and Lacazette have notched up a combined tally of 43 goals and 20 assists in all competitions for Arsenal so far this season.
