Former Genk coach Johan Boskamp has advised Leandro Trossard to make a decision on his future depending on the playing opportunities available, amidst interest from Arsenal and Wolfsburg.

Trossard, who has been linked with a move away from Genk in recent months, has been a standout performer for the club in the Belgian top flight this season.

The Genk skipper has scored 22 goals and registered 10 assists in all competitions this term, while popping up on the radar of both Arsenal and Wolfsburg.

Despite their interest in the player, neither Arsenal nor Wolfsburg have tabled an offer for the player as the summer transfer window approaches.

As such, former Genk boss Boskamp has advised Trossard to make a decision on his future depending on the playing opportunities offered by his potential suitors.

However, Boskamp also admitted he would not turn down an offer from Arsenal if he were in Trossard’s shoes and stressed the midfielder can only get better with a move.

"Trossard is linked with Wolfsburg and Arsenal”, Boskamp told Belgian daily Het Belang van Limburg.

“Leandro should actually choose the club where he gets the better playing opportunities.

“But then, I wouldn't let that Arsenal train pass.

“He is doing great with Genk and can only get better. Just do it!”

Trossard, who is a product of the academy at Genk, has a contract with the club that runs until 2021.
