David Ospina has dropped a big hint that he is heading back to Arsenal and not staying at Napoli beyond the end of the season.

Ospina has completed the full 90 minutes 23 times for Napoli, but his season has been cut short as he will be flying out to Colombia to see his ailing father.

The goalkeeper joined Napoli last summer on a season-long loan deal with the Serie A giants reserving an option to make the move permanent.

According to the terms of the agreement, a mandatory purchase option would have been triggered had he made 25 appearances for the club and played the full 90 minutes in them.

Despite the fact Ospina will not play the required number of games, it had been claimed Napoli were still looking to keep hold of him.

But Ospina has dropped a big hint that he will not be returning, with the goalkeeper being quoted by Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset as being heard telling his Napoli team-mates: "I'm going guys. I don't know if we'll see each other [again]."

What might happen when Ospina returns to Arsenal remains to be seen.

With Petr Cech retiring, Arsenal will need a number two to Bernd Leno, but it remains to be seen whether the Colombian is prepared to play second fiddle at the Emirates again

Ospina has a year left on his Arsenal contract to run.
