Sporting Lisbon have rekindled their interest in Liverpool winger Rafael Camacho, who is determined to move on from Anfield this summer.

Camacho, who has just a single year remaining on his contract at Anfield, wants to make the move away from Liverpool as he is claimed to view it as his best route to regular first team action.

As such, the 18-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs, including Sporting Lisbon, where he spent his formative years before moving to England.

Despite their persistent interest in Camacho, Sporting Lisbon could face stern competition from both Real Madrid and Benfica in the race for the Liverpool talent.

And according to Portuguese daily O Jogo, Sporting Lisbon made contact with Liverpool last week, starting talks to sign Camacho.

Sporting Lisbon came close to landing Camacho in the January transfer window, but Jurgen Klopp blocked the player's exit.

Now the Lisbon giants are making a new push to take Camacho to Portugal.

Although Liverpool are under no inclination to cash in on Camacho, the player remains keen on leaving Anfield in a bid to try and become a regular first team player elsewhere.

The winger has featured prominently across various age groups for Portugal in the past.
