Rangers loanee Ryan Kent has admitted he prefers Glasgow to Liverpool as a city.

The winger is closing in on the end of a season-long loan spell at Rangers from Liverpool and the Gers have been urged by many fans to do all they can to keep hold of him.

And Kent appears to be enjoying life at Rangers under Steven Gerrard.

Indeed, with words that may well give Rangers extra hope of keeping Kent, the winger has admitted that when he compares Glasgow and Liverpool as cities, his preference goes to Glasgow.

Asked on Rangers TV whether Glasgow or Liverpool is nicer, and why, Kent replied: "Glasgow. I don't really know why. Just Glasgow."

The winger also opened up on what position he would like to play if he had to operate somewhere else on the pitch, out of his attacking comfort zone.

"If I didn't play as a forward I'd like to play as a number 6, defensive midfielder, because they've got it easy", Kent said.
