Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to offer Mauricio Pochettino a new contract and back him heavily this summer to strengthen the squad for next season.

Pochettino has led Tottenham to their first Champions League final, where they will take on Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano on 1st June.

However, there are concerns at Tottenham about losing Pochettino and the Argentine has done little to calm down those fears in the last few days.

He has indicated that Tottenham will have to match his ambition, while he has also flirted with bowing out on a high if the club win the Champions League.

However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been working in the background to come up with an offer to keep Pochettino happy and satisfied, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia.

Tottenham are ready to offer him a lucrative new contract and the club are set to assure him that funds will be made available this summer.

The north London outfit are prepared to loosen the purse strings and back Pochettino heavily in the transfer market to strengthen the squad.
