Serie A outfit Genoa are set to approach Besiktas for the signing of West Ham and Newcastle United target Dorukhan Tokoz, it has been claimed.

The 22-year-old midfielder has piqued the interest of several clubs with his performances this season at Besiktas and there is widespread speculation over his future.

The defensive midfielder has attracted the attention of clubs in the Premier League, with West Ham and Newcastle believed to be keen to take him to England this summer.

But there are other clubs in the fray who are also vying for his signature, with significant interest coming from Italy.

According to Turkish daily Takvim, Genoa are keen to sign Dorukhan and are preparing to knock on the door of Besiktas in order to take him to Italy in the summer.

A bid has not been tabled yet, but the Italian club are preparing to step up on their pursuit and hold talks with the Turkish outfit soon.

Besiktas have also reportedly received a bid of €7m for Dorukhan, but it is unclear which club made the move for him.
