Manchester United linked midfielder Ivan Rakitic has insisted that he has no interest in leaving Barcelona this summer.

The 31-year-old midfielder has been a major part of Barcelona’s success in recent seasons, but his future at the club has come under the scanner.

There are suggestions that Barcelona could be prepared to listen to offers and Manchester United have already been in touch over the possibility of taking the Croatian to Old Trafford.

The Catalan giants are reportedly ready to sell the player if they receive an offer around the €55m mark, but the midfielder has ruled out the possibility of leaving the Nou Camp.

Rakitic stressed that he is not sure why his future has been subject to speculation and he insisted that he has not even been thinking about leaving Barcelona this summer.

Rakitic told Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo: “It is a situation that has not been created by me.

“From my part, there is no doubt. I have three years left on my contract and this is the place where I want to be and I am happy.
