Juventus have held talks with agent Frank Trimboli as they mull battling Napoli for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kieran Trippier.

Trippier, who has established himself as a member of the first team under Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, has emerged as a priority target for Napoli in recent weeks.

The 28-year-old is not opposed to a move to Italy and is not short of potential suitors due to the interest from Manchester United, despite links with Napoli.

However, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are now considering battling it out with Napoli in the chase for Trippier.

It is claimed the Bianconeri have identified Trippier as a potential target, amidst the uncertainty surrounding Joao Cancelo’s future at the club.

As such, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has held talks with agent Trimboli in a bid to try and launch an ambitious move to land Trippier this summer.

And although Spurs are under no inclination to cash in on Trippier, it is believed the north Londoners would not stand in the way of the player, if a suitable offer is tabled by one of the interested clubs.

Despite their interest in Trippier, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the England international.

Trippier, who joined Spurs from Burnley in 2015, has a contract with the club that runs until 2022.
