Tottenham Hotspur have been keeping an eye on Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi as a possible replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, it has been claimed.

Pochettino has indicated that he could decide to walk away from Tottenham after the Champions League final if the club do not show the ambition to compete for the top honours consistently.

The Tottenham boss was frustrated by the club not spending a single penny in the previous two transfer windows and is expected to seek assurances from Spurs at the end of the season.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants to do everything to hold on to the Argentine, but he is putting in place plans to replace Pochettino if necessary.

And according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, they are one of the clubs who have been keeping tabs on Inzaghi as part of a possible plan to find a successor for the current Tottenham manager.

The Italian has built a good reputation with his performances at Lazio and won the Italian Cup with the club this season.

Inzaghi has also been on Juventus’ shortlist as the Italian champions look to find a successor to Massimiliano Allegri.
