Chelsea are confident of convincing 18-year-old midfielder Tino Anjorin to sign a new long term contract with the club, according to The Athletic.

The 18-year-old made his debut for Chelsea in the EFL Cup this season and is considered to be a bright prospect within the youth ranks.

Chelsea have lost youngsters in recent months to clubs in England and Europe and are desperate to make sure that they hold on to Anjorin for the long term.

Talks between the two parties have been progressing well over a new contract for the teenage midfielder.

Chelsea have offered him a new deal until 2025 and the talks between the club and the player’s representatives have been positive.

The Blues are confident that they are close to convincing the youngster to put pen to paper on a new deal with the club.

There is optimism in both camps that an agreement will be reached and Chelsea expect him to sign a new contract sooner rather than later.
