Tottenham Hotspur are working towards offering a new contract to Argentinian midfielder Giovani Lo Celso amidst talk of his departure in the summer.

 

Lo Celso has been a bit part player at Tottenham this season and has struggled to get regular game time.

 

Ange Postecoglou indicated that the midfielder could find a new club if he wants to play regularly and there has been talk of a summer exit.

 

 

Real Betis are interested in taking him back to Spain and he has also been linked with a move to Barcelona.

 

However, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Spurs could soon hold talks with the midfielder over a fresh contract.

 

 

His current deal has a year left on it and the north London club are looking to sign him on a fresh terms.

 

Spurs are planning to offer him a new three-year deal and tie him down to the north London club for a few more years.

 

 

It remains to be seen whether he decides to put pen to paper on a new contract or look to force an exit in the summer.
