Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has completed the purchase of Slovenian outfit NK Maribor, it has been claimed in Turkey, with only the official procedure to go through before it can be announced.

 

Ilicali has been wanting to add another club to his portfolio with his running of Hull City getting praise from all quarters.

 

He has been pushing to get Hull back into the Premier League but he has been clear about wanting a club competing in European competitions.

 

 

The Hull boss recently told us in an exclusive interview that he wants to buy a Slovenian club playing in Europe.

 

And according to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, he has completed the purchase of Slovenian club NK Maribor.

 

 

The details of the deal are being finalised before the final agreement is signed off by all parties.

 

An announcement is expected to be made soon to confirm Ilicali’s purchase of NK Maribor, once the official procedures are complete.

 

 

They are currently third in the Slovenian top flight and were involved in the Europa Conference League this season.
