Roma are confident of completing the signing of Spanish talent Bojan Krkic from Barcelona despite late interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Krkic has appeared set to move to the Giallorossi for the last few weeks, but a move from Tottenham threatened to complicate matters.

But Roma have agreement with Krkic, who is excited at the prospect of working under former Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique, and the Blaugrana themselves, leaving just minor details to be ironed out before the switch can go ahead.

"The agreement with the player is total", explained Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini.

"There are some details with Barcelona, but there will be no problem.

"The deal may be completed tomorrow."

Krkic will cost Roma around €12M and Barcelona have ensured a buy-back clause is inserted in the deal.
