Juventus have joined Sevilla in showing an interest in Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay.

But while Sevilla have been linked with taking the Dutchman on loan for the forthcoming season, the Bianconeri are preparing to send an offer of €8M to the Camp Nou according to sources in Italy.

Afellay only arrived at Barcelona in January, but already the feeling is that he could struggle for time on the pitch this season.

The arrival of Chilean star Alexis Sanchez from Udinese this summer, combined with the signing of Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal, appears to have blocked two potential roads in to the team for Afellay.

The former PSV Eindhoven star has always been insistent that he will wait for his chance at Barcelona and has no intention of calling time on his short-lived Spanish adventure.

Should Barcelona choose to accept an offer from Juventus however, Afellay could reassess his situation.
