Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo has insisted that he does not regret choosing to join Fenerbahce ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

Melo could have moved to PSG in the summer from Juventus, where he endured a nightmare two-year spell, but opted for Turkey and Fenerbahce on a season-long loan.

The former Fiorentina man has watched as PSG have hoovered up much top talent, with Javier Pastore being bought from Palermo, while David Beckham is expected to land in the new year.

But Melo is not one for regrets when considering that he could have been at the Parc des Princes.

"Regrets? No", said Melo to Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I spoke with Leonardo several times, I thanked him for his interest and I apologised for not going to PSG.

"But I’m happy here", added the Brazilian.

"I belong to Juventus, one of the biggest clubs in the world, but I am not lying when I say I want to stay in Turkey.

"I suffered for two years there, but I’m happy Juve are on the right track."
