Impressive RAEC Mons goalscorer Jeremy Perbet is being targeted by Russian Premier League side Krylia Sovetov Samara.

While the European transfer window is now closed until the summer, the Russian window remains open until the end of this month and Perbet could well have a decision to make.

The striker has been candid about the possibility of quitting Mons for greener pastures, although he told Inside Futbol recently that Holland’s Eredivisie is a place he considers capable of offering him the next step in his career.

Whether the Frenchman will fancy a move east then, remains open to question, though Krylia could make Perbet a lucrative offer.

Mons for their part are not keen on losing Perbet, particularly in mid-season, but it is understood that, were Krylia’s speculated €2M bid to arrive, the Belgian side could not reasonably stand in his way.

The striker then may have the final say.

Perbet scored a remarkable 40 goals in 40 games in 2011 and has continued his poaching in the current campaign.

The French forward is a large part of the reason Mons have stayed well clear of relegation trouble in the Jupiler Pro League.
