Interest in Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm is "still huge", the player’s agent Patrick Mork has insisted.

Elm has been persistently linked with a switch away from his current club, Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Valencia all regularly counted as amongst the 24-year-old’s admirers.

The player’s contract situation at AZ makes his situation even more compelling for any interested party as there is just one year left to run on Elm’s present deal – and the Swede has not yet decided whether to put pen to paper on an extension.

Should he decide against increasing his stay at AZ, the Dutch side would undoubtedly look to sell him to realise at least some value from their investment, something they have admitted.

But at present Elm is playing the waiting game – and many clubs are watching for his eventual decision.

"He will probably soon decide whether he is going to remain with AZ or look for a transfer", Elm’s representative Mork told Sport Bladet.

"The interest in Rasmus is still huge."

One factor which may sway Elm to extend his stay with AZ is the opportunity to play with his brother. The Eredivisie side have just snapped up Viktor Elm from Heerenveen.
