Kevin De Bruyne believes that he can follow in the footsteps of Eden Hazard at Chelsea.

The Belgian midfielder is currently on a season-long loan from Chelsea at Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen, having been sent to Germany by the Champions League winners to speed up his development with increased playing time.

relatedNewsStoryDe Bruyne is getting first team opportunities aplenty at Werder Bremen, but recently admitted that he does miss the warmth and atmosphere of former side Genk.

However, the Belgium international is not thinking of returning to his homeland and has instead set his sights on making the grade at Stamford Bridge.

"Ideally, I want to at least try to break through at Chelsea", De Bruyne told Belgian daily Het Nieuwsblad.

"And I have enough confidence to believe that it will work out and I can succeed like Eden Hazard."

De Bruyne plays alongside Hazard at international level for Belgium’s Red Devils.

The former Genk man has already found the back of the net three times in the Bundesliga for Werder Bremen this season.

His latest goal came in the club’s 3-1 defeat on Friday night away to Augsburg.
