Wilfried Bony has been urged to snub any approach from Russia in the next few weeks and instead wait for a switch to the English Premier League in the summer.

The Vitesse striker is wanted by a number of clubs from the Russian top flight, for who the transfer window still remains open, and the Dutch side are waiting to see if any solid bids arrive.

Bony though should not jump ship to Russia, Vitesse captain Guram Kashia believes, and should instead wait to realise his dream of playing in England’s Premier League, which could happen as soon as the coming summer, the Georgian defender feels.

"Wilfried must wait until the summer and then he can go to the best league in the world, the Premier League in England", Kashia told Voetbal Primeur.

Bony has been consistently linked with clubs from England, with his agent claiming both Chelsea and Liverpool have been on his tail.

The Ivorian is under contract with Vitesse until 2015 however, and Kashia believes that a very big fee will be needed for the goalscorer, with in his opinion not even €20M enough to sign him now, due to the effect it would have on the team.

"I find €20M to be not enough", he said.

"Money is not the most important thing.

"The team need Bony. We have to play 12 finals and there is still direct qualification for the Europa League available."
