Saint-Etienne hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admits that it will be very difficult for him to leave Les Verts if they qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Aubameyang and co. continued their blistering form at the weekend, smashing four past Nice to move ahead of Claude Puel’s men and into fourth spot in Ligue 1.

Now Les Verts are only two points off Marseille in third; a top three spot brings with it Champions League football for next season.

Saint-Etienne have the best form of any side in Ligue 1 over the last nine games, with 20 points taken and only one defeat suffered.

Aubameyang is a man in demand, having attracted interest from England, particularly Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle, while Chelsea were also recently linked with making a move for the Gabon man.

But he could find it mission impossible to leave if Saint-Etienne are in the Champions League.

"I will decide my future at the end of the season", he was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

"But clearly, if we were to qualify for the Champions League, for me it would be very difficult to leave."
