Valencia defender Adil Rami is on the radar of English Premier League giants Manchester United, according to Portuguese daily A Bola, with the Red Devils looking to boost their defensive options in the summer.

The 27-year-old centre-back is believed to have joined the list of potential defensive reinforcements at Old Trafford, a list which already contains names such as Benfica’s Ezequiel Garay and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.



The France international has been highly rated ever since arriving at the Mestalla in the summer of 2011, from Ligue 1 side Lille.

Rami has gone on record as admitting that he feels he may need to move to a "big club", while he has also admitted that he has heard of interest from Manchester United.

Rami is under contract with Valencia until 2015, though his deal is thought to contain a €25M buy-out clause, which suitors could activate.

The defender has made 35 appearances for his club in all competitions this season so far.
