Paris Saint-Germain head coach Carlo Ancelotti is set to announce his departure from the club within a span of 48 hours, according to Spanish daily AS.

Ancelotti, who joined the Ligue 1 giants in December 2011, has since led PSG to their first French title in nine years, as well as steering the club to the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season.

But his two-year reign at the Parc des Princes may soon come crashing down, with Ancelotti poised to give his depature speech within two days.

The news will surely fan the flames of speculation that the ex-Chelsea manager could soon make his move to Real Madrid. Indeed, he reportedly turned down an offer from Manchester United just so he could make himself available should Los Blancos president Florentino Perez give him the call.

Regardless, Ancelotti has maintained that he has no immediate plans to leave PSG any time soon.

The Italian tactician has a contract with PSG that won’t expire until the end of next season, but he may not be in Paris until that time.
