FC Nordsjaelland have agreed a fee with English Premier League side Aston Villa for highly-rated centre-back Jores Okore.

Okore recently revealed that he turned down the chance to join Chelsea in the January transfer window as he was concerned about a lack of first team football at Stamford Bridge.

But it appears Okore has no such concerns about landing at Villa Park and, according to Danish daily Politiken, the defender is due to have a medical with the English side later this week.

Okore has been linked with both Liverpool and Manchester United over the last 12 months.

And earlier this year Borussia Dortmund rejected the chance to bid for his services after concluding him to be too small to warrant a spot in the centre of their defence.

Now the Denmark international is poised to head to Villa Park for the next step in his career.

Okore has won seven senior caps at international level for Denmark.
