2012/13 treble-winners Bayern Munich do not have Chelsea defender David Luiz as a "goal" for the current transfer window, insists sporting director Matthias Sammer.

Luiz, 26, was part of the Brazil squad that defeated favourites Spain in the final of the recently concluded Confederations Cup as the Selecao trampled over La Roja 3-0 thanks to goals from Fred (two) and Neymar.

At club level, Luiz also had a hand in Chelsea’s rise to Europa League glory, as he blasted two magnificent free-kicks over two legs against FC Basel in the semi-final, clinching the Stamford Bridge outfit a spot in the final in Amsterdam, where they defeated Portuguese giants Benfica.

But despite his accolades, German giants Bayern Munich are not interested in the Brazilian defender, who is not under consideration.

"There is absolutely no interest [from our side]. He is not one of our goals", Sammer told reporters when asked about possible interest in the Chelsea defender.

While the Bavarians are not targetting Luiz, it is thought that La Liga stalwarts Barcelona could think about making a move for the Brazilian defender.

Luiz’s contract with Chelsea expires in 2017.
