English Premier League side Norwich City have turned their attentions away from PSV Eindhoven striker Ola Toivonen.

The Sweden international has been the subject of interest from the Canaries, who reached an agreement with PSV over a fee for the player last month.

Toivonen has been determined not to be bounced into a switch though and, according to the Eindhovens Dagblad, the 27-year-old is holding out for an offer from a bigger club.

This has pushed Norwich to look elsewhere and the Canaries are now actively studying other options.

Toivonen has just one year remaining on his current contract at the Philips Station.

PSV have told the former Malmo man to pen an extension or leave this summer.

And if the Sweden international does neither, the Dutch giants have threatened to demote him to the club’s youth ranks.
