PSV Eindhoven expect another bid from Newcastle United for goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet, which will then cause the Dutch giants to move for Tottenham Hotspur shot-stopper Heurelho Gomes.

Newcastle have seen one bid for Zoet rejected by PSV, with €2.5m judged not to be enough for the promising Dutch custodian.

However, according to De Telegraaf, PSV expect Newcastle to return with an improved offer and are actively planning for life without the 22-year-old.

Indeed, PSV coach Philip Cocu is keen to bring his former team-mate at the club, and firm crowd favourite, Gomes, back to the Philips Stadion.

Gomes has fallen well down the pecking order at Tottenham and recently admitted that he would welcome the chance to rejoin his old club.

Any move though will be dependent on Cocu selling Zoet to Newcastle, as the Dutch tactician is clear that as things stand he does not require the services of another goalkeeper.

At present Zoet is competing with Polish goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton at PSV.
