"We are training well and improving our results. We have a good team and the goal is to be fighting to stay in the top three.

"[But] I will return to London and play a final year there. Chelsea is my team."

Belgium are very well placed for an automatic spot for Brazil 2014, sitting top of their qualifying group three points ahead of Croatia.

Courtois enjoyed a very successful season with Atletico in 2012/13, keeping 20 clean sheets in 37 league games as the club made it to the Champions League spots.

His performances even prompted Atletico to consider a permanent switch for the 21-year-old but Chelsea have always been steadfast in their refusal.
