Werder Bremen have opened talks with John Arne Riise in an effort to tempt the Norwegian to the Bundesliga.
Riise has claimed that he is free to leave Fulham this summer, with the Cottagers prepared to release him if he can find a new club.
According to the Weser-Kurier, Werder Bremen are now moving to try and agree a deal with Riise.
The 32-year-old is believed to be open to moving to Germany and could well welcome the chance to sign for Robin Dutt's men.
Riise has just one year left on his contract at Fulham.
Last season Riise managed 31 appearances for Fulham in the Premier League under Martin Jol.
He has won 110 caps for Norway.
