Borussia Dortmund have set their sights on Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho, a player who has interested both Liverpool and Fiorentina in recent months.

The Brazilian schemer has made waves at Verona, holding his own in Serie A after inspiring his side to promotion to the Italian top flight last term.

Indeed, so far this season the 21-year-old has clocked up seven appearances in Serie A, scoring three goals and providing a single assist.

Now Jorginho has attracted the eyes of Bundesliga giants Dortmund, according to Calcio Mercato, with Jurgen Klopp's side pondering a potential January offer for the schemer.

Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini will not be keen on losing Jorginho as he looks to ensure the Gialloblu cement their status in Serie A.

However, an opening gambit by Dortmund could well lead to Liverpool and Fiorentina firming up their admiration of the player.

Verona currently sit an impressive fifth in Serie A, having picked up 13 points from their opening seven games.
