Hellas Verona sensation Jorginho admits that he knows scouts from Arsenal and Chelsea were in the stands as he produced a virtuoso performance in Serie A to help his side crush Parma at the weekend.

The Brazilian schemer struck twice for Verona in a 3-2 win as the side's dream start to the new Serie A campaign continued apace.

 


At present the newly-promoted club sit fourth in the Serie A standings and Jorginho, who attracted much attention for his performances in Serie B last term, is the star of the show.

That has not gone unnoticed, with scouts flocking to watch the playmaker in action.

And the youngster admits he knows that he is having the rule run over him by English Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea.

He was quoted as saying by Fichajes: "I know that in the game against Parma, there were scouts from Arsenal and Chelsea.

"I hope to keep playing well and show what I'm worth."

However, Jorginho also admitted post-match that he is no hurry to move on from Verona.

"Staying another season with Verona will only make me better", he had stated.
