Fabio Quagliarella's agent has denied any notion of contact with Lazio about a January move, despite the Italian being an apparent fourth-choice striker at Juventus.

Quagliarella, who was chased by clubs such as West Ham, Schalke, Valencia, Norwich City, Sunderland and Everton this summer, has made just two starts in seven Serie A appearances this season.

Conte already has Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Mirko Vucinic as strikers, meaning Quagliarella was always an easy target for transfer speculation.

He was most recently linked with seeking a move to Lazio in the winter transfer window, but his agent Giuseppe Bozzo is confident there is nothing to worry about for Juventus manager Antonio Conte.

Bozzo told lalaziosiamonoi.it: "To my knowledge, there have been no contact between Lazio and my client, because Fabio has no intention of leaving Juventus in January.

"Conte does not want to be deprived of him. We cannot say that Fabio is treated as the fourth striker after Tevez, Llorente and Vucinic.

"Moreover, the fact that he is playing in a team that is fighting for the Scudetto is an extra motivation for him and he does not want to give that up."

Quagliarella has spent all his club career in Italy, having previously turned out for Napoli, Udinese and Sampdoria, among others.

The 30-year-old has just one goal in Serie A this season, but has managed two in three games in the Champions League.
