Arsenal will battle it out with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for 17-year-old Dinamo Zagreb starlet Alen Halilovic, according to Tutto Mercato.

Halilovic is also on the radars at Bayern Munich and CSKA Moscow, this after an apparent agreement with Tottenham on a €20m deal.

It was understood that Halilovic was seeking regular game time at Spurs, something that may be unlikely given the wealth of talent on show at White Hart Lane.

While Arsenal boast a similar pool, manager Arsene Wenger has never been averse to snapping up young talent.

A winter transfer move could be likely given that CSKA Moscow are also looking to boost their squad in January.

With his contract expiring next summer, Dinamo's position will be remarkably weakened if they fail to tie him down to a renewal before January comes around.

Despite his relative youth, Halilovic has already become a full Croatia international, with three senior caps under his belt.

He made 18 appearances for Dinamo last season – albeit with just seven starts – and is on a similar roll this campaign with nine matches so far.
