Antonio Sanabria could be heading towards Arsenal in the end as the Gunners prepare to offer Barcelona an unbeatable €3m for his services.

According to Catalan daily Sport, Roma and Parma are in the market for the 17-year-old Sanabria, but are unable to offer the same value in full.

Roma are, in fact, willing to go only as high as €2m with added bonuses expected to make up the deficit.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are ready to go the distance both economically and geographically, with club representatives set to reach Barcelona to discuss with the player's family.

Negotiations will be expected to begin soon for Sanabria, who plays for Barcelona's B team in Spain's Segunda Division and is also linked with Juventus.

The striker is believed to be considering his future and a decision could emerge by the end of this week.

Arsenal will hope to be in pole position given their previous experience of recruiting Barcelona youngsters, most notably Cesc Fabregas.

It is not clear when the transfer will take place, though next summer would ideally be the cut off point with his contract set to expire in 2015.
