Manchester United have mixed news on the injury front with Nani ruled out for "a few weeks" but Wayne Rooney still in with a chance of making the weekend's game.

Nani is confirmed out with a hamstring injury, while Rooney had been slightly doubtful after missing the League Cup game against Stoke City with a groin injury.

Manchester United will take on West Ham at Old Trafford and manager David Moyes was quoted on his club website as saying: "Nani has got a hamstring injury.

"We were worried about that. It's worse than we thought, he might be out for a few weeks. [Rooney] has a chance. We will see how he is tomorrow."

Moyes is hoping to bring some good form back to Old Trafford following back-to-back home defeats, but feels the return of Darren Fletcher has been uplifting for all.

Fletcher made his return after a long break, due to a bowel condition, and played 20 minutes of the 3-0 away win over Aston Villa.

"It has been said that we have been short in areas but the players who have come in have done brilliantly well," Moyes added.

"Even bringing back Fletcher has given everybody a lift. We need to get back to winning ways at home and starting putting those goals away."
