Pepe Reina is not fixating on the question of moving to Barcelona, though he reiterated his wish to one day return to the club that gave him his big break.

Barcelona could turn to their former academy graduate next summer, though Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Thibaut Courtois are in with good chances.

Reina is one of the candidates to be Victor Valdes' successor, even if he is presently enjoying life away from Liverpool on loan at Napoli.

The Spaniard, ironically, is also a target for Atletico Madrid should Courtois be the chosen one for Barcelona.

But when asked if he was slated to rejoin his old club, Reina told Sport: "Everyone would like to play for them. It is clear that I would like be back, but we'll see if that can happen or not.

"It's not up to me. I'm in a situation where my [loan] assignment ends on 30th June.

"Beyond that, my agent is doing his movements, his things, his efforts, and I trust him. As a professional I must think of the situation where I am now.

"But a player who says he does not imagine himself playing for a team like Barcelona, seems to me, is not telling the truth."
