Fiorentina are pushing hard to sign Brazilian-born playmaker Jorginho from Hellas Verona, making a bid of €7m.

Jorginho has shot to prominence in the current campaign, helping Verona to make an instant splash in Serie A following promotion from Serie B last season.

And as the Rossoblu's fortunes have sky-rocketed, so has interest in Jorginho.

The attacking midfielder admitted in October that he knew scouts from Arsenal and Chelsea were in the stands taking in his performances, while Liverpool, AC Milan, Roma, Juventus and Zenit St. Petersburg have all also been linked.

But it is Fiorentina who are making the running and, according to Italian outlet Sportmediaset, La Viola have lodged a bid of €7m for Jorginho.

It is a deal also believed to include Uruguayan youngster Matias Vecino, who may well head the other way on either a loan or a co-ownership arrangement.

Fiorentina are hoping to push a deal through to completion quickly, before Jorginho's other suitors have time to put together rival bids.
