Patrice Evra's agent has arrived in Brazil for talks with his client, amid a strong push from Juventus to secure the left-back's services.

Evra only extended his contract with Manchester United for a further year in May, but is still wanted by the Italian champions.

Juventus are prepared to pay Evra €3.5m per year on a two-year deal if he agrees to move to Turin – and the Frenchman is thought to be open to the switch.

The Bianconeri now want Evra to put pressure on Manchester United to allow him to leave and the player's agent has landed in Brazil for talks with the France international, according to Sky Italia.

Evra has yet to speak to new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, as both Van Gaal's Netherlands and Evra's France are in the thick of their respective World Cup campaigns.

Manchester United have signed left-back Luke Shaw from Southampton this summer, but it remains to be seen whether they view the England international as a first team regular, which could allow Evra to leave.

Evra joined Manchester United in 2006 from Monaco.
