Leeds United face competition in their bid to tempt defender Fabrizio Grillo to Elland Road, with fellow English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers also keen on the 27-year-old.

Grillo is looking for a new club following financial issues at Siena; he spent time on loan with Varese during the latter half of last season and then returned to Siena to find a club in crisis.

The left-back has already admitted offers on the table from England in addition to his native Italy, commenting on Monday: "I have offers from Italy, I'm glad because there are a couple of concrete ones in England too."

And he suggested one particular proposal from England was very tempting indeed, almost being irresistible.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, there is an English duel on the cards for Grillo, with Leeds and Wolves both keen on adding the defender to their ranks.

Leeds have been especially active in the Italian market this summer, signing Marco Silvestri, Gaetano Berardi, Tommaso Bianchi and Souleymane Doukara.

Grillo started his career in the youth ranks at capital club Roma, while he also has a stint in Bulgaria at CSKA Sofia under his belt.
